Activity Type Customization
Activity Type Overview
An Activity is any act that is associated with an Applicant or Client Contact. The Type is a description of the activity. Some examples of Activity Types are Phone call, email sent, email received, internal interview, client interview, or appointment. The list is much longer that those few, which is why BrightMove has the option to add as many activities as you need to encompass everything that you do.
The Activity Type menu is displayed in the Applicant Profile and Client Contact Profile. It is in the Activity section of both, and is displayed as a drop down menu when a BrightMove user Adds and Activity to either type of profile.
How to Add an Activity Type
To add an Activity Type, Select the item “Activity Type” from the available choices on the Customization menu. The “Create New Activity Type” Screen should be displayed. In the field titled “Activity Type Name”, enter the name you would like to call the activity (e.g. “Bruch Meeting”). Click the Save button just underneath the Activity Type Name field. The Activity Type will appear on the existing list as the last choice on the list.
To order the list of Activity Types so that they are displayed in the drop down menu in the most convenient way, highlight a type on the “Display Order Table”, and then use the up and down buttons to move it on the list. The menu choices will be displayed in the order you set.
How to Delete an Activity Type
To delete it completely, Click on the icon displayed to the right of the Activity Type name in the “Delete” column of the Current Activity Type list. To just make it an unavailable choice, uncheck the box in the “Available Choice” column of that same list.
How to Edit an activity type
From the Current Activity type list, click on the Activity type that needs to be edited. The “Edit Activity Type” screen will be displayed. Make the required changes, and then click the Save button just underneath the Edit field.
