Applicant Source Overview
The Applicant Source indicated where an Applicant came from or applied from. For example, if an Applicant saw a job posed on Monster and applied for it, the Source would be Monster.
The Applicant Source is found on the Applicant Profile, and can be viewed by anyone looking at that applicant record. Furthermore, it is used to generate the “Applicant Source Report”.
How to Add an Applicant Source
To add an Applicant Source, Select the item “Applicant Source” from the available choices on the Customization menu. The “Create New Applicant Source” Screen should be displayed. In the field titled “Applicant Source Name”, enter the name you would like to call the Applicant Source (e.g. “Job Board”). Click the Save button just underneath the Applicant Source Name field. The Applicant Source will appear on the existing list as the last choice on the list.
To allow an applicant to see this choice when they apply for a position, make sure to place a checkmark in the “Applicant Choice” column of the current Applicant Sources table.
To order the list of Applicant Sources so that they are displayed in the drop down menu in the most convenient way, highlight a source on the “Display Order Table”, and then use the up and down buttons to move it on the list. The menu choices will be displayed in the order you set.
How to Edit an Applicant Source
From the Current Applicant Sources list click on the Source that needs to be edited. The “Edit Applicant Source” screen will be displayed. Make the required changes, and then click the Save button just underneath the Edit field.
How to Delete and Applicant Source
To delete it completely, Click on the icon displayed to the right of the Applicant Source name in the “Delete” column of the Current Applicant Sources list. To just make it unavailable for applicants to choose, uncheck the box in the “Available Choice” column of that same list.
