Applicant Status Customization

Applicant Status Overview

The Applicant Status indicates what stage of a job search an applicant is in. For example, a common status is “Available”, meaning that the applicant is available for work. Some other examples of status are: not available, employed, current employee, on assignment, on bench. There are of course many, many more, which is why BrightMove gives you the option to customize them!

How to Add an Applicant Status

First, select “Applicant Status” from the Customization menu. The “Create New Applicant Status” screen will be displayed. Type in the name of the status you want to add in the provided field at the top of the screen. Click on the “Save” button just under where you have typed the name of the new status. The new status will now appear on the “Current Applicant Statuses” list in the middle of the screen.

To order the list of Applicant Statuses so that they are displayed in the drop down menu in the most convenient way, highlight a status on the “Display Order Table”, and then use the up and down buttons to move it on the list. The menu choices will be displayed in the order you set.

How to Edit a Status

From the Current Applicant Statuses list click on the Status that needs to be edited. The “Edit Applicant Status” screen will be displayed. Make the required changes, and then click the Save button just underneath the Edit field.

How to Delete a Status

To delete it completely, Click on the icon displayed to the right of the Applicant Status name in the “Delete” column of the Current Applicant Statuses list. To just make it unavailable as a choice, uncheck the box in the “Available Choice” column of that same list.
