David Webb recognized as an honoree for Technology Leader of the Year award

presented by CDW

BrightMove, Inc., a leader in recruiting software innovation, is proud to announce its CEO and Founder, David Webb, as an honoree for the 2019 Technology Leader of the Year Award for the surrounding Jacksonville area.

Launched by the Jacksonville Business Journal this year, Webb was recognized along with key executives in the area “whose knowledge and skill with technology has helped them grow and shape their companies.” Platinum sponsor CDW honored the inaugural class with a celebration on September 26.

Webb has propelled BrightMove, Inc. to be a local leader in recruiting software solutions. With an extensive computer science and programming background, Webb applied this knowledge to build BrightMove over 15 years ago, while simultaneously providing consultative services to organizations seeking solutions for high-end, enterprise-level computing systems.

The Jacksonville Business Journal saw an opportunity to recognize individuals like Webb with this award as a testament to the growth that the Jacksonville technology sector has experienced and its impact over recent years. David Webb echoes this sentiment:

“As someone who has been leading technology innovations in Jacksonville for the past 22 years, being recognized as a Tech Leader of the Year is humbling and meaningful. I have lived my whole life in Jacksonville and the areas surrounding North Florida. People who aren’t from Jacksonville don’t realize how hard it is to break into tech, especially if you aren’t from Silicon Valley and other major tech metropolitan areas. Investors don’t take you as seriously as they do startups from Silicon Valley; making it harder to receiving backing and funding. All 15 people deserve the recognition for the perseverance and innovation they must possess to be a modern tech leader in the Jacksonville market. Congratulations to all those who have been recognized.”

According to the Jacksonville Business Journal, local technology professionals aided the selection process, where “honorees were chosen based on their innovation in strategic thought and planning, success in implementing technological solutions, management effectiveness and community involvement.”
