What is BrightFlow?
BrightFlow is the Kanban-style visual view of your company’s submittal workflow inside BrightMove. Each submittal status appears as a column (swim lane) and each candidate appears as a card, so you can see hiring pipeline movement at a glance instead of scrolling a list.
How do I move a candidate to a new status in BrightFlow?
Drag and drop the candidate’s card from one swim lane into another. The move updates their submittal status immediately—no dropdown menus required.
What do the status tile colors mean?
By default, green tiles are Placement statuses, blue tiles are Submitted to Client (Sendout) statuses, red tiles are Declined or Rejected statuses, and gray tiles cover everything else. Swim lane header colors can be customized during setup.
Who can set up BrightFlow for our company?
Account admins or Super Users with the “Manage Submittal Workflow” permission configure BrightFlow under Settings > BrightFlow Setup, where they create swim lanes and assign statuses to them. Statuses left unassigned won’t display on the board.
Can hiring managers use BrightFlow, or is it just for recruiters?
Hiring managers can use BrightFlow as an optional visual view to review submittals and provide feedback, in addition to the standard list view, depending on your company’s settings.
What’s the difference between Straight Path and Open Field workflows?
Straight Path workflows require candidates to move through a fixed sequence of statuses without skipping steps. Open Field workflows let recruiters move candidates between statuses freely, based on how your team actually works.
