Watch Every Submittal Move, Not Just a List

BrightFlow is BrightMove’s Kanban-style view of your submittal workflow. Every candidate appears as a card under their current status, grouped into swim lanes your team defines—so recruiters and hiring managers can see the whole pipeline move at a glance, not just scroll a list.

Why recruiters rely on BrightFlow

A Kanban view of your submittal workflow

BrightFlow organizes your submittal statuses into swim lanes (also called stages). Each status appears as a column and each candidate appears as a card, so the entire hiring pipeline for a job is visible in one screen instead of buried in list views.

Drag-and-drop status changes

Move a candidate to a new status by dragging their card into a different swim lane—no dropdowns, no extra clicks. Recruiters update the pipeline as fast as the conversation happens.

Color-coded status tiles

Status tiles are color-coded by default so the pipeline reads at a glance: green for Placement statuses, blue for Submitted to Client (Sendout), red for Declined or Rejected, and gray for everything else. Swim lane header colors are fully customizable.

Straight Path or Open Field workflows

Choose the workflow style that matches how your team actually works. Straight Path enforces a fixed sequence of statuses so no one skips a step. Open Field lets recruiters move candidates between statuses freely.

Configurable by your Super Users

Account admins with the “Manage Submittal Workflow” permission configure BrightFlow under Settings > BrightFlow Setup—creating swim lanes, choosing colors, and assigning statuses so every unassigned status doesn’t just disappear from the board.

Built for high-volume pipeline reporting

Because every status change is logged, BrightFlow powers accurate reporting on Time to Hire, Quality of Hire, and Recruiter Analytics—while giving hiring managers an optional visual view to review submittals without digging through email.

BrightFlow FAQs

What is BrightFlow?

BrightFlow is the Kanban-style visual view of your company’s submittal workflow inside BrightMove. Each submittal status appears as a column (swim lane) and each candidate appears as a card, so you can see hiring pipeline movement at a glance instead of scrolling a list.

How do I move a candidate to a new status in BrightFlow?

Drag and drop the candidate’s card from one swim lane into another. The move updates their submittal status immediately—no dropdown menus required.

What do the status tile colors mean?

By default, green tiles are Placement statuses, blue tiles are Submitted to Client (Sendout) statuses, red tiles are Declined or Rejected statuses, and gray tiles cover everything else. Swim lane header colors can be customized during setup.

Who can set up BrightFlow for our company?

Account admins or Super Users with the “Manage Submittal Workflow” permission configure BrightFlow under Settings > BrightFlow Setup, where they create swim lanes and assign statuses to them. Statuses left unassigned won’t display on the board.

Can hiring managers use BrightFlow, or is it just for recruiters?

Hiring managers can use BrightFlow as an optional visual view to review submittals and provide feedback, in addition to the standard list view, depending on your company’s settings.

What’s the difference between Straight Path and Open Field workflows?

Straight Path workflows require candidates to move through a fixed sequence of statuses without skipping steps. Open Field workflows let recruiters move candidates between statuses freely, based on how your team actually works.
