What's new at BrightMove

Product releases BrightMove shipped from April 15 through September 16, 2026, as recorded in LightHub.

This list follows the production releases in LightHub's 2026 release notes. It covers April 15 through September 16, 2026. Earlier 2026 releases stay on that same page.

April 15, release 2026.4.0

  • Companies can replace the Recommend Hire button with a custom next step in the submittal workflow. The label, permission, and status are set in company preferences.
  • Engage added a candidate profile for contacts who can open Engage. It shows the applicant, the Wiz summary and radar chart when an evaluation exists, and actions to rank, recommend, decline, or chat.
  • The sign-in page can reveal the password so a user can check what they typed.

May 5, release 2026.5.0

  • Records restored from the recycle bin appear in Power Search and All Site Search right away.
  • Applicant and contact Power Search can find people by phone number, and quoted phrases in text fields no longer fail as invalid criteria.
  • When a basic qualification must be answered correctly, that question is marked in the job assignment list.

May 29, release 2026.6.0

  • Offer letter packets can include the public job description. A company preference can add it automatically, or a recruiter can choose it before sending.
  • For companies with the Engage SMS add-on, those conversations now show on the applicant and contact activity tabs in the ATS. A notification tells the recruiter when a candidate replies.

June 17, release 2026.7.0

  • A candidate who replies with a standard opt-out command, such as STOP, is removed from SMS and from active chats until they opt back in.
  • An SMS sendout can include a time-limited link that opens the job in Engage, filtered to the applicants in that sendout.
  • Companies can set how long an idle Engage conversation stays open. The default is 7 days.

July 13, release 2026.8.0

  • Recruiters with permission can sponsor an eligible job with ZipRecruiter from the job's Job Board tab, and pause an active sponsorship. A first-time sponsor completes a registration form that BrightMove fills in from the recruiter and company profile.
  • A recruiter can take over an Engage conversation when the applicant is already in another chat. The previous chat closes and a new one starts.
  • Resume viewers can download the attached resume, and resume text keeps its line breaks.

August 5, release 2026.9.0

  • An Engage conversation with an applicant can exist without a job.
  • A candidate who replies START is opted back in to SMS and returned to the conversation.
  • For Engage-enabled companies, interview schedule texts and submittal status texts go through the Engage conversation.
  • Submittal tables can sort by Wiz Score.

August 21, release 2026.10.0

  • The job submittal tab can highlight current employees and filter by the portal type captured when the applicant was created.
  • Interview PDF attachments have visibility controls, and several dropdowns now sort in a consistent order.

September 16, release 2026.11.0

  • Bulk actions use one Mass Actions control across locations, Power Search, submittal tabs, folders, and carts.
  • ZipRecruiter sponsorship status is shown on the job, with the sponsor button in the job header when the job is eligible.
  • When automatic Wiz evaluation is on, a candidate who fails a required basic qualification is not given a full score.
  • A job can be paused from job board distribution and still stay visible on the careers portal.
  • Offer letter signing can use a user's own e-signature credential instead of the shared company credential.
  • A scheduled communication can include a Zoom or Microsoft Teams link when that account is connected.
